The fabric is thinner than a typical athletic jacket, so while it has a fleece lining, it's not warm enough. It's recommended for mid-season or indoor travel. It doesn't seem like a windbreaker, although I haven't tested it in that way. The hood is the correct color and size, but not the correct style. It's very comfortable to wear with jeans to the office or university every day. It's washable, wrinkle-free, and very lightweight. Good product.
