Review: These run true to size. Lengthwise as well, which is what I was concerned about and why I chose petite. They are very good / accurate measurements, I will not need to shorten them. Waist is the size according to the size guide. I probably could have taken an L as this is as far as the M elastic extends. It is nice, thin and comfortable denim for the summer. They are a little bit wider than I wanted. I was really hoping for more of a straight leg than a wide leg. But they are nice enough for the price
